In diesem Fr\u00fchjahr besuchte unser Team zusammen mit Partnern vom Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children's Global Health und Mission for Ukraine Uzhhorod und Mukachevo, um die Fortschritte unseres 3D-Prothesen- und Rehabilitationsprojekts zu \u00fcberpr\u00fcfen. Im Folgenden erfahren Sie, was wir w\u00e4hrend unserer Reise vom 31. M\u00e4rz bis 2. April 2025 gelernt und erreicht haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leben ver\u00e4ndern mit 3D-gedruckter Prothetik<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unseren ersten Tag verbrachten wir im Transcarpathian Regional Clinical Hospital (TCRH) in Uzhhorod, wo unser 3D-Prothetikprogramm bereits viel bewirkt. Das Team traf sich mit den Direktoren Yuriy Yatsina und Myroslav Lavriuk, um zu besprechen, wie unser Ansatz Patienten - insbesondere solchen, die noch nie zuvor gelaufen sind - hilft, ihre Mobilit\u00e4t und Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit wiederzuerlangen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ein Highlight: Vier Patienten berichteten uns, dass ihre neuen Prothesen genauso komfortabel oder sogar noch komfortabler seien als die Ger\u00e4te, die sie von europ\u00e4ischen Spitzenanbietern erhalten hatten. Das ist die Kraft der Innovation und der Teamarbeit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bauen f\u00fcr die Zukunft<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir erfuhren auch von den spannenden Pl\u00e4nen f\u00fcr ein neues, gro\u00dfes Rehabilitationszentrum in Uzhhorod, das den Zugang zur Versorgung weiter verbessern wird. Unser Team lieferte acht Fu\u00dfprothesen, verbesserte die 3D-Druckwerkstatt und bot an, bei der rechtlichen, logistischen und finanziellen Unterst\u00fctzung zu helfen, wenn das Programm w\u00e4chst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ein Geist der Partnerschaft<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In einem neu renovierten Reha-Raum des Milit\u00e4rkrankenhauses in Mukachevo wurden wir und das F\u00fchrungsteam des Krankenhauses willkommen gehei\u00dfen. Ihre Offenheit f\u00fcr eine Zusammenarbeit, insbesondere unter der neuen F\u00fchrung, stellt einen Wendepunkt f\u00fcr milit\u00e4risch-zivile Partnerschaften in der Region dar. Here\u2019s what we learned and accomplished during our trip from March 31 to April 2, 2025.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>Transforming Lives with 3D-Printed Prosthetics<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>We spent our first day at the Transcarpathian Regional Clinical Hospital (TCRH) in Uzhhorod, where our 3D prosthetics program is already making a difference. The team met with Director Yuriy Yatsina and Myroslav Lavriuk to discuss how our approach is helping patients\u2014especially those who have never walked before\u2014regain their mobility and independence.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>One highlight: Four patients told us their new prosthetic limbs were as comfortable, or even more so, than devices they\u2019d received from top European providers. That\u2019s the power of innovation and teamwork!<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>Building for the Future<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>We also learned about exciting plans for a new, large rehabilitation center in Uzhhorod, which will further expand access to care. Our team delivered eight prosthetic feet, improved the 3D printing workshop, and offered to help with legal, logistical, and financial support as the program grows.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>A Spirit of Partnership<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>A newly renovated rehab space at the Military Hospital in Mukachevo welcomed us and the hospital\u2019s leadership team. Their openness to collaboration, especially under new leadership, marks a turning point for military-civilian partnerships in the region.
