Meeting Urgent Needs in Mukachevo

On the second day of our site visit, we focused on Mukachevo, where the needs of families and children affected by war are more pressing than ever.

Modern Rehabilitation for All

At the Military Hospital, we toured a newly funded rehab center equipped with a hot swimming pool, balance platforms, electro-stimulation devices, massage rooms, and a gym. This center now offers both inpatient and outpatient services, helping more people than ever before.

We’re working closely with the hospital’s leadership to coordinate patient care between military and civilian hospitals—because better collaboration means better outcomes for everyone.

Helping the Youngest Patients

Our visit to Mukachevo’s Pediatric Hospital was a powerful reminder of why our work matters. The hospital’s new director and Dr. Yuriy Demyan, head of orthopedic surgery, told us about the growing number of children in need of care due to the war. They expressed heartfelt thanks for our past support—especially for Maksym’s surgery—but emphasized that much more is needed.

We’re committed to providing additional training for pediatric rehab specialists and supporting much-needed renovations to patient rooms and operating theaters.

Every child deserves a chance to heal and thrive. With your help, we can meet these urgent needs.
